The basil used is DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) certified, meaning only pesto made in a precise manner with fresh Ligurian DOP basil can use that labeling.
 
Ingredients: Italians peeled tomatoes 25%, extra virgin olive oil (23%), Italian double concentrated tomato18%, semifinished genovese basil DOP (Genovese basil DOP (63%), extra virgin olive oil, salt, antioxidant: ascorbic acid) 12% , cashew-nuts , dried tomato 5% Grana Padano DOP ( milk, rennet, salt, lysozyme: egg protein), pine nuts,garlic,salt,acidifier: lactic acid.
